You’ll l find images that reflect my personal style , as well as portraits and wedding albums -and grab shots that appeared out of the blue but not so fast as to escape my quick camera’s click.

I am passionate about my work. I love turning someone’s fleeting moment of joy into an image that preserves precious memories.

My personal story started back in Germany as a professional bookseller. Photography, books and traveling are my passions. I think all three of them I inheritated from my parents. I was always surrounded by books, novels of the greatest writers, art books and also colorful travel books. As soon as school was out off we’d go on trips to the pleasures of Mediterranean cities and islands, my father endlessly taking black-and-white pictures of our familiy .

My interest in photography began , perhaps when my father gave me a Brownie; I loved the clicking sound the shutter made when I took a picture. I was just twelve years old. Later I bought a more sophisticated camera , and I set out to travel over the globe, the more distant the land, the better- Sri Lanka, Nepal, Israel and Egypt. Morocco and Turkey. I was enthralled by what I captured through my lens.

One day, I was pressing my nose to an airplane window as a tall green goddess- The Statue of Liberty- slid by below. I had left my job and my home and was on my way to California. Here, I began a new life teeming with possibilities. I went to Photography School and began my career as a photographer.

My camera has become an extension of my eye. I may move inch-close to a flower’s calyx or to a baby’s toes. At weddings or events I find a way to tell a journalistic story with style and delicate evocative images. While shooting, I remain as invisible as possible, seizing the fleeting moments, for example the amused smile on a groom’s face or the bride’s bouquet as it sails through the air into the hands of an eager bridesmaid.
